Hilton Honors

I helped get heads in beds for Hilton Worldwide and the Hilton Honors (then HHonors) loyalty program for years, mostly with highly targeted email writing that relied on my obsessive love of detail.

But every once in a while I got to write radio. Art directors nudge pixels, but writers get to coax performances out with empathy, nuance, and imagination.  My very first record, I told our actress to embody the grandeur and haughtiness of a deposed queen. The moment I saw the light bulb go off in her head, and she asked me if I, too, was an actress, I fell in love with directing voiceover actors. It's still one of the best parts of my job.

And here's a print ad with a headline I only presented to my creative director to make him laugh. It ended up running all over the country. Who knew?
